You have done pretty good sleeping! You cut your top left front tooth while we were on vacation at the beach with the Ezells and literally did not sleep on that trip! Thankfully you were happy during the day and did take at least one nap but that was about it! Cutting teeth is hard work!

You still nurse 4 times a day. You LOVE finger foods!

Your eyes are still blue! I’m really thinking they are going to stay this color, which makes me so happy! Your hair is really getting thick. It’s just adorable. We started putting your hair bows directly in your hair instead of on a headband and it’s pretty much the cutest thing ever. You are so good with your hair bows and never pull them out or mess with them. Probably because you’ve had one on your head since you were born ;)

You are still an amazing sleeper. You had a few rough nights with teething but other than that you’ve done great. You go to bed around 8 and wake up between 7:30 and 8 the next morning. You have discovered how to play in your crib and we get a kick out of watching you on the monitor. One day you fell asleep sitting up with your head on the bumper!

Fun Stuff:

–       You went to the beach for the first time and loved it!

–       You have figured out how to sit up from laying down

–       You can rock back and forth on all fours

–       You figured out crawling at the end of the month and are so cautious when you crawl!

–       Starting to pull up on things

–       Make a clicking sound with your mouth

–       You LOVE Otis. You work really hard to get to him and then put your head on him. It’s super sweet!

–       You got two new teeth on top. Right top tooth and right canine tooth. Hopefully the top left and top canine will come soon so you wont be lopsided ;)

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the month :) Thanks for checking in!

Your eyes are still a gorgeous blue! Your hair is just adorable… it’s still blonde and has filled out.

This was not one of our better months. I was sure she was teething but so far no other teeth have come through. On a good night she sleeps from 8 to 8 and on an ok night she wakes up a few times needing her paci and on a bad night she wakes up every 2 to 3 hours. We had a lot of ok nights and a few bad nights this month. Hopefully we’ll get our good little sleep back next month!

Fun Stuff:

–       You love Otis and smile at him every time he walks in the room! One day you got really excited when he came in your room and burst into tears when he left. It was adorable haha

–       You have discovered your tongue and now say “ba” all the time and we love it!!

–       We got a jumper that hangs in the door way and you like it. Haven’t quite figured out how to jump in it just yet.

–       We also got a walker that you love to sit in for a while.

– Took your first overnight trip to Tuscaloosa and stayed with auntie Boo!

I remember when we were trying to get pregnant thinking that I wouldn’t have any friends with kids the same age as ours. A lot of our friends already had kids or were not ready to have kids. I remember praying and asking the Lord that whenever He chose to give us a baby that He would also bring friends into our lives that also had babies around the same age. I love how the Lord takes care of even these kind of requests… He has overwhelmed us with friends that also have little ones and it has been SO much fun!

These are Sundays “oldest friends” Monica Rose ( R ) was born first but on the same day as Sunday and Ellis (middle) was born just 6 days later! We had so much fun being pregnant together and are continuing to have a great time getting these sweet girls together!

This is Hunter and Sunday… One of Sundays boyfriends ;)

Sunday and Everett

Sunday, Hudson and Nathaniel…. they look thrilled haha

Emma, Ella, Hudson (The ladies man!) and Sunday

These sweet girls hold a special place in our hearts! They were Greyson’s nurses at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. We all ended up having babies at the same time. We had such a great time catching up and getting our little ones together in bham!

And of course we couldn’t leave out our BEST buddy and sweet cousin Huddy! The one who is surrounded by girls, puts up with matching clothes and gets SOOOO excited when he see’s his cousin Sunday!

There are many more friends that we just don’t have picture with yet. I love how the Lord so sweetly answered my prayer! I look forward to watching all these precious little ones grow up together!

You are nursing every 3.5 hours and have baby food in the mornings and evenings and love it! Dr. B said we could start feeding you three times a day and also start introducing meat this month.

Your eyes are still a stunning blue and so big! Your hair has gotten long and is getting lighter. I think this summer in the sun it will really lighten up. Can’t believe we have a blond hair blue eyed baby!

You are such a greater sleeper! We are still doing the same bedtime routine and you are in bed by 8. You have officially dropped the middle of the night feeding. You usually wake up once in the middle of the night but if we give you your paci you go right back to sleep and usually sleep till morning. Most mornings we wake up to you squealing or cooing on the monitor… it’s the best way to wake up!

Fun Stuff:

–       You got your first two teeth at the same time! The front two bottom teeth. You wanted to sleep all day on Easter and that night you ran a small fever and the next morning we noticed that you had two little teeth poking through!

You are nursing every 3.5 hours and have baby food in the mornings and evenings and love it! You’ve tried lots of new things this month: Carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, apples, prunes and green beans (Green beans were not your favorite).

Your eyes are simply stunning! Everyone comments on how beautiful your eyes are and how much you look like a baby doll! Your hair no longer goes into a Mohawk… this made daddy and me a little sad but when we comb your hair down to the side you look like such a little girl and it melts our hearts! You simply could not be any cuter!

We’ve gotten into a great nighttime routine of baby food around 630 – 7, bath time at 730 and nurse and bedtime at 8. You wake up a few times wanting your paci and usually wake up around 3 to nurse and then between 7 and 8 to start the day.  OH and you are officially sleeping in your crib! Such a big girl! This was much harder on mommy than you haha! But we are both sleeping much better because of this.  We put you in a sleep sack to sleep in so that you don’t have a blanket on you. (She got to where she was pulling them on her face and couldn’t get them off… scary! Sleep sack is much safer!) You look SO adorable in it!

Fun Stuff:

–       You like to stare at the little birdies on your crib bumper

–       You have officially found your feet… you can even get your toes into your mouth! Haha

–       You roll to your tummy all the time and then get really mad because you still can’t seem to figure out how to get to your back.

–       You lick anything that touches your mouth

–       You do this “wiggle” dance on the changing table and the floor that is hilarious

–       You love to play with my hair and “hug” me when I’m holding you

–       You wake up so happy most morning and we can hear you just “talking” away on your monitor and playing with your feet… SO sweet

–      You went to church nursery for the first time this month. Moomoo was the nursery worked out which made mommy feel SO much better about leaving you!

Pregnancy Recap

photo 2-48This was the morning we left for the hospital to have our baby girl. The last pregnancy picture!

Things I learned while pregnant:

1. It’s an honor and a blessing to be able to carry a baby to birth. It’s something I dreamed and longed for. It’s something that a lot of women don’t’ get to do. I knew during our infertility struggles that if we were unable to get pregnant that we would pursue adoption and that it would be the child God had for us but I still longed to go through pregnancy. To see what our child would look like and be like. I’m so thankful we were able to do that!

2. Birthing classes are a bust! I came away with more fears from that class than anything else. Unless you are planning on going without drugs (classes for learning how to breathe and handle pain) then I would say skip it.

3. I could make a fortune if I opened up a reasonably priced maternity clothing store in Huntsville. Seriously why are they so expensive? I ended up buying over half my maternity clothes off-line.

4. Looking back I think the second pregnancy will be easier than the first. The not knowing was very frustrating for me. I kept trying to figure out the difference between braxton hicks and real contractions and every one kept telling me “you’ll know.” By the end I was ready the punch the next person who told me “you’ll know.” But seriously… you’ll know. Haha! I think it’s one of those things that you just have to experience. I thought I might have been in labor like a hundred times and googled every single symptom I felt. Ended up being induced. Craziness!

5. I had some people tell me that I would miss being pregnant…. I thought for sure they were crazy but 3 months later… I kinda miss it.

A few things I miss about being pregnant:

* Feeling her move around

* Feeling her hiccups

* Maternity pants… so comfy

*Everyone smiles when they see you

*Ryan loving my baby bump

What I don’t miss about being pregnant:

*Gestational diabetes

*Not being able to lay on my back or stomach

* Needing help to get up

*Grunting every time I got in or out of the car

I loved being pregnant and hope that I will get to experience it again one day!
